For years I kept delaying it, where I kept thinking: One more year, just have to figure out that job first, save a bit more, I need to buy that house, and then save more. Didn’t matter the reason, I always postponed. The long-haul trips I always told myself I’d take keep staying on that list.
Then I stopped waiting, I got tired of coming up with excuses, and about a year ago I finally did it. I booked that flight, sorted out the vaccines, figured out the eSIM situation, and landed in South America with more questions than answers…
What I found out was that most travel content out there is either too polished to be useful, or too outdated to be trusted. Prices back from 2019 or safety advice from someone who visited for a long weekend. That’s exactly the gap The Honest Nomad is trying to fill…or at least try.
We will cover the practical questions that actually matter when you’re planning a trip as a traveller. Things like whether it’s actually safe, what vaccines you need, which eSIM works, how much things really cost, what type of transportation is available, and how to handle altitude if you’ve never dealt with it before. Among other hopefully useful things.
